There was a July 4th contest at Nationals Park in Washington DC. Later, they crossed the border for an international show at Rodgers Centre in Toronto, as well as popular stops in Cincinnati, Minnesota and San Francisco. In Atlanta, the lines for autographs were a few blocks long. Busch Stadium in St, Louis was a new stop on the tour as softball fans from all over Missouri showed up before a Cardinals game.

Countdown to the finals begins!
August, 30, 2011 – How do you celebrate and savor a championship? For Team TPS’s JD Genter and Tim Cocco, it began with signing autographs and enjoying some ballpark food.
It was the perfect way to celebrate winning the manufactures cup on the Stadium Power Tour, after a great showing at AT&T Ballpark in San Francisco.
They met and mingled with softball fans in the concourse of the ball park.
After a grueling 13 weeks on the stadium power tour, Team TPS took top honors to win the coveted Manufactures Cup.
Veteran JD Genter, made it all possible,after a comeback from a midseason injury. “My wrist is feeling better, I used some martial arts training and my TPS bats to win it all, it’s now on to the finals in LA ” .
Rookie Tim Cocco made a big impact in his first season, and ended it with an impressive 12 hit performance AT & T ball Park, including some homers completely out of the park. “The ball was flying, I hit a couple into the bay, that was pretty amazing ” .

August 26, 2011 – St. Louis, MO – The Long Haul Bombers, powered by HomerunMonkey.com staged another spectacular home run derby at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
Setting the pace early and testing one of best parks in the bigs, was JD Genter of Team TPS. JD knocked out 10 homers and the money ball for 11 points. This gives JD a good shot at the finals with one more event. “I like the park, and the crowd was cheering each homer, I’m feeing good after an early season injury”.
Brian Wegman of Team Easton blasted 8 homers and the money ball for 9 points. Despite a good showing, “Wegs” must wait and see the results from the contest this Tuesday night in San Francisco. “I’ll be watching to see who does well, a bit nervous? You bet, but I hit well today and I love Busch Stadium, a great ball park“.
Jeremy ”Izzy“ Isenhower from Team Miken, scored 6 points, but, needed more and Izzy was eliminated. “I’m going to miss these guys, I had a great summer on the stadium power tour, no regrets I loved every minute of it“.
The points battle is getting tight, and only 6 Bombers will advance to the championship at Dodger Stadium in LA on September 18th. Many of the Bombers are “on the bubble” for the finals, making the final contest in San Francisco this Tuesday critical for team and individual championships.

Brett Helmer of Team Easton and Greg Connell of Team Worth, made steady strides to the finals. Helmer is the veteran on the tour, but played like a youngster. It felt great tonight, my swing was locked and this crowd was into it. There were lots of softball uniforms and teams in the crowd. I could hear them cheering and screaming, it was a lot fun.
Greg Connell at 29 years of age, is the youngest player on the tour and showed what youth and power can do. Greg blasted several homers into the upper deck of Turner Field. “I hit a few good ones, no doubt, and I’m glad, because this was a softball crowd, plenty of fans who follow us in the stands tonight. I felt extra pressure to put on a good show, plus the finals are on the line“.

August 14, 2011 – Toronto Canada – The Long Haul Bombers, powered by HomerunMonkey.com, showcased the international appeal of softball, by staging another successful home run derby at Rogers Centre.
A big crowd of Canadian Softball fans showed up and were treated to hard hitting show and lined up for autographs afterwards.
The point’s battle continues to tighten up on the stadium power tour. Today’s contest featured Denny Crine and JD Genter leading the pack, both scoring 11 points.
JD Genter of Team TPS, in his first game back since a mid-season injury, showed he’s back in the race. JD rocked Rogers Centre with 11 big points, many into the upper deck. “I feel good, I’m ready to get back in the hunt, I have a lot of points to make up, but today was a step in the right direction”. Genter who is also a martial arts expert, credits some of that special training for his quick recovery.
2 time champ Denny Crine of Team Miken, set the pace with power. Denny also tested the confines Rogers Center and ending the day with 11 points. He sent many homers into the upper deck, to the delight of many softball fans. “I like coming to Canada and hitting at Rogers Centre. The Canadian fans of softball come out to support the sport, and we want to put on a good show “.
The roof of Rogers Centre was open today. It’s the world’s first, fully retractable roof and opens or closes in about 20 minutes, big enough to cover a 31 story building in center field.

August 9, 2011 – Albertville, MN – TV ratings for “Softball 360”, the syndicated national television show, featuring the Long Haul Bombers, have been solid all season long, and continue to grow.
The latest ratings report from one of the Networks that air the program and in, and they’re impressive.
The New England Sports Network, known as NESN, reported that more than 512,000 viewers tuned into a single episode in July. That episode was repeated six times in 2 weeks, placing the total viewer ship in that region at over several million sports fans for a 2 week period in July. NESN is the TV home for the Boston Redsox.
Those ratings numbers are just for New England viewing area. “Softball 360″ is available on more than 70 millions households on a number of national cable networks like NESN. In that same 2 week period “Softball 360 aired more than 500 times on 30 different networks”.
According to veteran, television executive Curt Pires, from CAP SPORTS, the show has been a steady performer all summer.
“Softball 360 provides substantial ratings and viewers in key demographic areas for major cable networks . Many of the networks have been airing ” Softball 360″ before and after major league baseball games, it’s a great audience flow. Team Easton’s Brain Wegman, Miken’s Jeremy Isenhower and Team TPS’s JD Genter and Tim Cocco and are scheduled to hit.
The point’s battle is starting to tighten up, and this will be an important stop on the Stadium Power Tour to determine who gets into the finals.
Long Haul Bombers President John Daniels is excited about the new venue. “St Louis and the entire state of Missouri are a great sports and softball community, with a rich tradition. July 15, 2011 – Cincinnati, OH – The Long Haul Bombers, powered by HomerunMonkey.com, stadium power tour at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. A hot summer nite with some big blasts by TPS’s Tim Cocco, puts him on top.
Tim Cocco from TPS, made it look easy. He led the pack, before a packed stadium Friday nite in Cincinnati. Cocco hit some tremendous blast’s, several only a few rows from leaving the ball park and landing in the Ohio River. “ I live across the river in Kentucky, had my family with me and was swinging well. I really did think one of my homers, was going to leave the park and splash down in the Ohio.”
Kevin Filby from DeMarini, who lives in Ohio, continued his sensational rookie season with 10 points. “It was a hot night, the fans were into it, and it felt good. My dad got a chance to watch me tonight, I think I made him proud.“
After the Reds and Cardinals game, Team East Coast Athletics hit before the Friday nite fire works show.
Jeff Hall continued to stay in the race for the championship, with 10 points and some crushing upper deck blasts. “ The house was rocking, the fans were howling and the balls were flying, it was a fun nite at the ballpark, I ‘ll take 10 points anytime I can get it “.

July 4, 2011 – Washington, DC – The Long Haul Bombers, powered by HomerunMonkey.com helped celebrate the 4th of July with a uniquely American show, a classic home run derby before the Nationals and Cubs game in Washington DC.
The red, white and BOOM from the bat of Team DeMarini’s Kevin Filby set the pace. Filby was on target and blasted a few softballs into the upper deck of Nationals ball park on a sweltering, holiday afternoon. “It was a hot day and I was sweating big time, but I got loose and locked in. It was a spectacular feeling to be hitting homers at the nations capitol on July 4th, where else would you want to be ? “
Greg Connell from Team Worth was close behind with 8 points. Greg also shared an appreciation for the spectacle. “Sure, I wanted to hit more, but on the 4th of July, swinging at the plate in DC, it was amazing. The race to be number one on the stadium power tour is heating up and Worth is going to be there for at the finals, I guarantee it“.
BJ Fulk from Team Worth continued his comeback. The popular lefty has mended from a early season injury and finished with 7 points.

Before the storm rolled through, the Bombers staged their own version of thunder and lighting The points battle on the Stadium Power Tour tightened up, as Jeff Hall and Brett McCollum tied with 12 points each.
Jeff Hall of East Coast Athletic started strong. “ Hallsey” hit 8 out of the park in his first 10 swings, with many headed to the upper deck of Target Field. “The winds were coming, but it didn’t really have a big effect the homers, but 12 points does come at a really good time for the team, it’s going to be an interesting season“.
Brett McCollum of Team TPS is filling in for the injured JD Genter. Brett also blasted out 12 points and stepped it up, while his teammate recovers.
“JD is resting and mending, I’m happy to hold down the fort until JD gets back. Target Field is a beautiful ballpark, it was thrilling to hit ‘em out, just as the storm was rolling in”.

June 29, 2011 – Seattle WA – The Long Haul Bombers, powered by Home Run Monkey.com, staged another spectacular show. More than 30,000 fans saw their latest home run derby, before the Mariners/Braves game Wednesday afternoon.
It was well-rounded home run derby, with many upper deck blasts and all the Long Haul Bombers put up great home run numbers.
The point’s battle on the Stadium Power Tour tightened up, as Brett Helmer and Chris Larsen battled to a 12-point tie.
Easton’s Brett Helmer got off to a spectacular start, at one point hitting 9 homers in a row. Many were massive blasts to the upper deck and some rebounded off the glass of the luxury suites.
Afterwards, Helmer reflected on his performance. “I got off fast and thought I might hit ‘em all out. The fans and Mariners were fabulous; show was a big hit for everyone at this beautiful park.“
Demarini’s Chris Larsen grew up in the northwest and there were plenty of Larsen fans in the crowd. He did not disappoint, and sent several softball souvenirs, screaming into the upper deck.
Despite the pressure of being the returning champ on the Stadium Power Tour, Larsen does not feel the glare of the spotlight. “Sure, I want to make DeMarini and the softball community proud, but today some folks who’ve I’ve been playing with for years saw the show, and reminded me of the why I love the sport, it’s a lot of fun! But, for sure it’s also great to be back in the championship chase“.

June 25, 2011 – San Diego, CA – The Long Haul Bombers, powered by Home Run Monkey.com, staged another spectacular show Saturday night, before a sellout crowd after the Padres and Braves game.
The points battle tightened up with a 3-way tie. Brett Helmer, Brain Wegman and BJ Fulk each earned 10 points.
BJ Fulk batting for Team Worth was back for his first event after an injury. BJ showed he’s healed and is ready to challenge for the lead.
“I feel good, I’ve mended and I’m ready to get back in the hunt to win this for Team Worth. I love the crowd and energy that come with putting on a show at Petco Park”
San Diego is one of the most popular stops on the tour for the Long Haul Bombers. The weather was 72 degree’s at game time and the big crowd was treated to many upper deck home run hits and even some big blasts that left the building.
Team Easton’s Brian Wegman continued the Bombers tradition of hitting homers over the left field landmark, the Western Metal Supply Building and completely out of the park.
Wegman started strong, at one point hitting 6 in a row. Wegs now has his sights set on a championship. “The goal for Easton is to win it all this year hands down. Between me an my running mate Brett Helmer, we have the tools to win it all, we said that back in spring training, we’re making good on that.”
Fellow Easton team mate, Brett “the hitman” Helmer is a lefty who made it look easy. Helmer blasted plenty of softball souvenirs to the fans in right field section of Petco Park. “The weather was perfect tonight, the crowd at Petco really gets into it, and I was able to make land a few in the porch in right field, it’s game on.”

June 20, 2011 Jackson, TN – The Long Haul Bombers took the stadium power tour, to Pringles Park, home of the Jackson Generals, for a one kind home run hitting exhibition.
Jackson Tennessee is located about halfway between Nashville and Memphis, but on Monday nite it was the center of the softball world. Pringles Park is the AA home of the Seattle Mariners and hosted the Southern League All Star Game. There were a few future major leaguers on the field according to Bomber vet Jeff Hall. “At least 4 to 5 of these kids will be in the bigs next year, it’s fun to say you saw ‘em when they were getting their start “
The Bombers took the field before a big crowd and temp’s in the 90’s. Pringles Park is classic, minor league park with some major league touches. Greg Connell enjoys the atmosphere. “ We love hitting here, it’s softball country, you can hear the fans cheering and they’re getting into it”. The crowd had great site lines and saw some world-class homer hitting by the Bombers. They ended the show with Jackson Generals batting coach Corey Snyder taking a few big cuts

June 2, 2011 – New York, NY – Round three of Long Haul Bombers, Stadium Power was on display at Citi Field. New York is the center of the world and the Long Haul Bombers were center stage Thursday afternoon. They put on a one of a kind home run derby for a huge crowd, before the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates MLB game.
Swirling winds made it challenging, but could not hold back rookie Kevin Filby of Team DeMarini.
Kevin blasted homers into the upper deck and beyond. He finished with 7 homers and the money ball for 8 points and a great debut. “ It’s New York, the crowd was into it and I was on my game, sure I wanted to hit more, but for my first time out, I’ll take 8 “
Another rookie, Tim Cocco of Team TPS also made a big first impression. Tim was swinging hard and had some massive upper deck blasts as well, and tied for the lead today with 8 points.
New York native Brett Helmer for Team Easton also tied with 8 points. It was a great afternoon and Brett says there’s plenty more still to come. “It was a bit windy, and I have to be consistent, that’s the key to the stadium power tour, being consistent, but all in all, it was a good show today, and the local school kids who came out today enjoyed it”.

Later, Jeff Hall and John ‘”Happy” Gilmore went to New York’s famed Central Park and put on a softball hitting demo.
The local soft ballers were amazed to see Hall blast some show bombs out of the softball fields on to a nearby basketball court.
“Those guys are simply out of this world” remarked one of the local New York tourney players. “We use a different kind of a softball here, but Hall gave me a Worth softball and we want to step up our game, like the Bombers”.

May 29, 2011 – St Petersburg, FL – Round two of Long Haul Bombers, Stadium Power Tour went under the dome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg Florida. Team Miken’s Denny Crine took the top spot with another hard hitting display, 11 home runs and the money ball for 12 points. Team Easton’s Brett Helmer and Brian Wegman also made a big impression at the home run derby held before the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians MLB game.

At Tropicana Field, two-time champion Denny Crine of Team Miken set the pace. Denny’s classic swing was on display again and Crine was comfortable and in charge.
“I like this ballpark, Tropicana Field has always been a great place to hit, the sight lines, the dimensions and the atmosphere are outstanding“.
Round two of the Stadium Power tour was also the debut of Team Easton. Brett Helmer and Brain Wegman hit a solid game and made it clear, that Crine is not going to have it easy this season.
Veteran Brett Helmer said it best “It’s a long season, and Team Easton will be in the hunt. While Denny Crine has the early lead for now, I guarantee you that Easton will be there in the finals”.
Greg Connell and Jeff Wallace of Team Worth showered the fans with softball souvenirs and also had some big blasts and finished 3rd.

May 23, 2011 – Round one of Stadium Power Tour took flight Sunday May 22, 2011 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, home of the Florida Marlins of the National League.
The Long Haul Bombers are a collection of the world’s greatest softball homer run hitters. They present a one of kind home run derby and our represented by some of the best brands in the sporting goods world: DeMarini, Easton, East Coast Athletics, Miken, TPS and Worth.
Each Bomber get 15 swings; each home run is worth one point, except for the last pitch, known as the money ball, which is worth 2 points. Round one at Sun Life Stadium game featured Team Miken, Team Worth and East Coast Athletics.
The stage was set for a great season by Denny Crine of Team Miken.
Denny’s smooth, classic swing was on display, with 11 home runs and Denny nailed the money ball, worth 2 points for a total of 12 points to take top spot.
Crine said he felt good about round one. “ My swing felt great, I was hitting the sweet spot and my bat was perfect. The conditions were great, not too much wind, which has been a problem in Miami.
It’s going to be fantastic season,my goal is to win another championship on the stadium power tour “.
But Crine’s goal will not be easy. There was plenty of competition on the field.
Greg Connell swinging for Team Worth is close behind. Connell blasted 10 homers and the money ball for 11 points. Many of his blasts were in the upper deck of Sun Life Stadium, providing plenty of softball souvenirs for the fans.
Afterward, Connell was quick to point out that that a competitive season lies ahead. “ It was a great game and I felt good, sure Crine was strong, but he can be beat this year, it’s my championship to win, so keep an eye on team Worth”.
Miken won the team points in Miami, as Crines teammate Jeremy “ Izzy “ Isenhower blasted 9 homers, for 9 points to put Team Miken on top. Izzy was breathless coming into the locker room and said,“ It’s great being a part Team Miken, as Denny Crine partner, it’s like hitting with softball royalty, and we both got off to a good start today “.
A pair of rookie’s made their debute in Miami. One was John Gilmore of East Coast Athletics.
At nearly 6 foot 8, Big John cast’s a long shadow on the field. John’s a veteran of many softball seasons and showed a why he deserved a spot on the Long Haul Bombers, with 8 homers and 8 points.
“ It’s great to be on the tour, I only wish my team mate Jeff Hall could have been here, I’m sure he would have hit a few out as well.”
Jeff Hall was held up by bad weather and canceled plane flights. But he will be back in upcoming evens this season.
The other rookie, Jeff Wallace of Team Worth, was filling in for the injured BJ Fulk.
Jeff blasted 4 home runs and found his mark on the money ball, for a total of 5 points, and was happy to pinch-hit for BJ. “ BJ is mending and will be back in a few games, until then I’m proud to stand in.”

This is last baseball season at Sunlife, as the Marlin move to a new ballpark in downtown Miami next season.
